Jungle Gym Mag 2010-2011 Fashion Review
Fashion — By JGM Staff on January 14, 2010 at 11:17 pmIf you think 2010 is going to be ripping the runways, wait ’til you see what designers have in store for the fashion world in 2011. Yes, look into Jungle Gym’s fashion crystal ball as we give you a preview of what’s to come a whole 13 months ahead!
You can look forward to seeing a lot of innovative designs and a different buzz from some epic designers taking fashion to its limits! Get ready for a twist on a comeback trend from the 1980s of casual sportswear, which is speculated to be titled “Casual Deluxe” by a number of designers. From Stella McCartney to Lala Berlin, they’re taking it back to unstructured and simple, yet high quality pieces in their 2011 collections.
As is the trend with every fashion season, you will also be seeing designers that go the unbeaten path through the trend jungle. They carve new paths with breath-taking fancy gowns, lingerie effect blouses, to uniquely tailored suits. Designers such as Kris Van Asshe, Jill Sanders, and Band of Outsiders will be leading us out of the thicket of average attire. As if that wasn’t exciting enough, guess who is said to be coming back to woman’s wear? The one and only infamous menswear designer, Tom Ford!
The last time he has done women’s wear was in 2004 with Gucci. But now he is back, adding women’s wear to his own Tom Ford collection! 2011 will be the year of an eco-friendly movement as well as a promotion for sustainable fiber and natural un-dyed fabrics. Expect to see this trend in the patterns and neutral colors on the fashions of the future’s runway. For now, let’s see how 2010 plays out!
