Students of Detmolder Schule Present “BOXEL”
Art, Culture — By JGM Staff on August 16, 2010 at 2:26 pm“BOXEL” is designed and realized by students of the architecture department during the last summer semester on the campus of the University of Applied Sciences in Detmold, Germany. The building shape is based on a minimal surface and consists of more than 2,000 beer boxes that are organized along the free form geometry. The temporary construction was designed using parametric software. This was a great way to portray art and recycle at the same time.
