Branson B is an entrepreneur, graffiti pioneer, and classic example of the New York hustler. As an entrepreneur Branson has provided independent economy to the community of Sugar Hill, Harlem for over 30 years. As a graffiti pioneer, Branson was one of the first to catch a top to bottom piece on the A train in the late 70′s. As a grafitti artist Branson has been documented under his alias Trease 158 in The Faith of Graffiti” by Norman Mailer in 1974 and 2008 “The Birth of Graffiti” by Jon Naar.

Since then Branson B has continued to pioneer new territory by developing a private label venture through champagne producers Guy Charlamagne. As a result Branson B has his own Champagne selections Guy Char Selected by BransonB, Blanc d Blanc, Rose and a 2000 Vintage, which can be purchased at garnetwine.com.

Branson represents the last of a dying breed, Hustlers that actually took their earnings from the community, and gave back. Resistance Against Authority for the right reasons. Salute to a New York Original.

This Friday NY clothing store Prohibit presents the Prohibit X Branson Tee Shirt launch and the debut of the short film “THE BRANSON B. PROJECT” Sept. 17th 2010 at Prohibit NYC 152 Allen St. 7pm to 11pm
