King Mez x Stussy - Hoppin' Over Fences

In the unfortunate event that you don’t already know this, there’s a new young artist from Raleigh, NC that gives true hip-hop heads a reason to rally. At just 20 yrs old, North Carolina’s son King Mez seems destined for a similar quest as J. Cole‘s, in that he’s bound to bring lyrical acclaim to “The Tar Heel State.” Although his style and sound are unique in their own right, those that know a lethal verse when they hear one will promptly tip their caps to this surging rhyme spitta’ just the same as they do for his more widely known fellow statesmen.

Recently King Mez gained an endorsement from one of the pioneer names in streetwear style, Stussy.  The brand whose clothes and shops are well renowned in many of the globe’s most fashionable cities decided to be the early bird when it came to getting on board with the high caliber music Mez has reigned over thus far. Already backed by super-production trio Justus League , this kid’s song writing abilities and skills on the mic are being acknowledged and co-signed by respected talents in not just one, but various industries.

King Mez and Stussy make their partnership evident with the release of this latest track “Hoppin’ Over Fences.”  On the Pharrell beat which is featured on the soundtrack to Rob Dyrdek‘s skateboarding drama, Street Dreams, the NC emcee develops the idea of fences as more than just physical barriers for skaters, but rather roadblocks in the further development of hip-hop and thus, himself as an individual.  Be sure to keep an eye out for upcoming releases from this promising rap artist.
