SXSW Festival 2011: Austin, TX

You can already hear the whispers of excitement with SXSW (South by Southwest), right around the corner. This year, in Austin, thousands will be gathering March 11-19, 2011 to attend conferences and festivals featuring music, film, and breaking technology. People of all ages from all over the country gather around for a week long event and likewise, many artists from various mediums do the same. So far SXSW has confirmed the programming for acts The Almost, Asher Roth & Nottz, B.o.B, Cee Lo Green, Lupe Fiasco, Wiz Khalifa, and hundreds more. The Smokers Club is one collection in particular that has been stirring a lot of buzz. We’re expecting Pac Div, Curren$y, Jay Rock, Smoke DZA and many more. They’ll be featured at The Firehouse Lounge and more information can be found below. On top of these heavy music acts, SXSW has promised another successful year of film related events such as speakers, documentaries, comedies, and many other interactive activities. Even if film and music just aren’t your thing, this is a booming social event. For the ease of touring guests, SXSW has offered full scheduling for all confirmed events and has made planning the least of our worries. If you like music, film, and interactive technology, there is no other place to be in the nation while gearing up for Spring Celebrations.
