Nostylgia NYC Boutique | First Look
Fashion — By JGM Staff on April 20, 2011 at 3:02 amNew York is home to some of the illest boutiques, all of these great boutiques are mostly located in the downtown area of Soho,NY. One particular boutique that stands out from the rest is Nostylgia, located on Dyckman Ave, it’s also one of the livest streets in uptown Manhattan, a neighborhood that is very heavy in Dominican culture. But Nostylgia doesn’t only stand out because of it’s location, it serves a soul clothing spot for Uptown NY. Opened up in 2004, Nostylgia has seen a transformation from the screen printed tee /hypebeast era to a much more mature and respected casual style. The store’s setting can be considered very “at home” to NY natives. It’s outside/inside store setting is very clever, a miniature fire escape, store awning, and power line with hanging converse classics make the setting very NY like. The store and brand has seen many collaborations from big clothing brands like Wolverine to local artists in that area like Tony Peralta. In addition to the nostalgic NY setting the store even has a tea bar called the “Inwood Tea Bar”, serving up to about 30 different flavors of organic tea either hot or iced. We definitely see this store as an NY hot spot, it’s hours are very flexible, if you wanted to get a last minute outfit for that party or a date you can head on over to Nostylgia where they stay open til 9 or even 2 am at times in the summer. If your ever in NY or live in the uptown area of the city we advise you to give them a walk through, 251 Dyckman Street.
