Just recently Kenny Scharf’s mural on the Bowery wall was covered up by the work of  French street artist JR. That piece on the Bowery wall is the start up piece to the Inside Out Project in NYC. It will be used to bring attention to the Standing Rock and Pineridge Native American Reservations. “The Inside Out Project “Lakota, Dakota Nation” is intended to shine a light on this rich culture, for which they are fighting daily.” The creation of artist, JR, the idea is to tell stories about people, using the black and white image which helps to visually stimulate the message. This particular image is of DJ Two Bears. Look out for more of these images around the City.
