Jungle Buzz: A.L.I.E.N NYC | The Return

After a brief halt from the street wear game , the crew that turned heads all around NYC, A.L.I.E.N returns! In the mid 2000′s,  well from 2004-2007 to be exact A.L.I.E.N (A Legion In Every Nation) shook the street wear game up, independently making their mark with their vibrant style of dressing. These guys came out when the “Hypebeast” era was in full effect, when everyone was trying to fit in with some exclusive kicks and all over print shirts, they stood out like a sore thumb. They brought a style that you weren’t used to, mixing up vintage gear with the new stuff. From the party scene to the street scene, these guys had it on lock, their crew consisted of designers, musicians, DJ’s, skaters, you name it. They were definitely street, plenty of people in NY can vouch!

A.L.I.E.N  was a very influential brand throughout out the fashion world, “It provided a platform for individuals who were outcasts and looked at as “aliens” for how they wore their attire.” says Rick Tan, a former founder of A.L.I.E.N in a recent interview. Since their halt from the street wear game, all of the people that helped start rebellious brand had went on and ventured into their own separate projects.

Now don’t call this a comeback, the year is 2011 and the ship has landed once again, A.L.I.E.N is ready to resurface once again, doing things more organized this time around. Today we look at a preview from their beach collection entitled “Kawabunga”, they have extended their endeavors further than NYC, they will be introducing a whole new LA collective as well. The domain that everyone was once familiar with “The Galaxy Riders” has changed and their official domain is now AlienNYC. We are very proud to announce this return, look out for more new gear and other great things from them this year.
