“Let Us In The Spot ASAP!” Inspired by A$AP Rocky
Jungle Buzz — By Logoism on December 27, 2011 at 5:29 pmHave you ever attended an upscale party or an event at a popular night spot in NYC? Then I’m pretty sure that you’ve been hassled more than once by asshole doormen. Everyday of the week there’s a industry event of some sort that requires an RSVP or some type of code name to get in. Depending on which spot it is, even if you RSVP’d you still may not get in. Now this can be because they’re discriminating on you’re physical appearance, or maybe your name or whatever company you’re representing for isn’t ringing any bells. Most of the time it’s that the guys at the door are just assholes that hate their life.
Some of the spots require a certain look or dress code to get in and that’s pretty understandable, but at times you still might not look cool enough to get in. A lot of the times the doormen will tell you that you need woman to accompany you to get in. Now is this my fault that I didn’t bring a girl with me? I was brought to the party by a promoter who promoted a party at your spot. I never been the type to bring sand to the beach and It’s really not my job to bring girls to your spot. I do not promote parties, I just came to party.
The other day while one twitter I seen a tweet that made me proud and made me RT it. A$AP Rocky tweeted:
Now was he wrong for doing this? Yes and no, it’s outrageous and funny to throw piss on someone, but someone has to step up against discrimination at the front door of NYC night spots. If I was there I would have applauded Rocky and bought him a beer.
He also tweeted:
Now I’m not encouraging you to piss on bouncers when they turn you down at the door. You might not be as lucky as rocky, but definitely stand up for yourself at the door. Don’t ever let these punk bouncers or anyone make you feel like your nobody or not cool enough to get in a night spot.
