Turn Your Skateboard Into An iPhone Case

Don’t ever throw away your skateboards again.. Well only if you know how to recycle and reuse it properly, companies like Holloway and brothers Gianni and Bapiste figured out ways to create eyewear out of recycled skateboard material. Today we’ve come across another skateboard company that makes over four thousand skateboards a day, and each day they throw enough material out to fill a city bus.

MapleXO is a company that produces recycled skateboard jewelry, they’ve teamed up with a team of creatives called Grove to create some wonderfully handcrafted iPhone 4 protectors made from recycled skateboards. As opposed to the generic iPhone cases, the new skatebacks only cover the back of iPhone to keep it safe from scuffs and scratches. It comes in three different color schemes, and is now available through Grove’s website for $49.
