Bombs On The Brooklyn Bridge

The 100 year old Brooklyn Bridge holds much history for graffiti artists, many of them can recall classic ties on it. Classic times like the infamous picture that the 5MH crew took in front of a 5MH piece that was bombed on a pit stop of the bridge, this was years ago, times like that don’t come so often because of how much traffic the bridge gets. Recently the bridge was hit by Lewy of the infamous BTM (Big Time Mob) crew, if you ask me he’s holding the title as the king of NY right now. There’s not a main street or back block throughout the five boroughs that he hasn’t bombed. Lewy bombed the outskirts of the bridge where there is nothing to prevent you from falling, this was basically a suicide mission.

“The storied spot was first made famous by graffiti brothers SANE and SMITH in 1988, who apparently didn’t think it would be such a big deal. More than a decade later, Dash Snow aka SACE and YEAR hit the same location, leaving a heartfelt note for then-Mayor Rudy Guliani” , says Bucky Turco of Animal.  Lewy hit it harder than both times though, he accomplished it by himself rocking 3 back to back fill-ins. Surely the Feds will be after him after all f this publicity, it’s said that he is also the suspect who stole the $100,000 Kaws painting out of Marc Ecko’s office.
