New York City artist Awol Erizku presented his second solo show this year, “Thank you, Come Again!” which was an explosive photo exhibition that took place at the Rivington Design House gallery. ”Thank you, Come Again!” is a series of personal portraits off of Awol’s famous tumblr that he takes all in the comfort of his private studio. Awol has been working on this on going project for the past two years, his studio has been busy non-stop and some of the most popular names around New York have been photographed there.

The photo exhibition took off quite nicely with the gallery being filled up to capacity leaving a trail of people from the gallery to the corner of Rivington. Hundreds of photos posted on one wall from the floor to the ceiling, everyone pointing to the photos to find themselves or someone they knew, the wall behind them read “You’re All Famous” in a white florescent light. Some of the photos featured in the show included popular figures like Mos Def, Virgil Abloh (G.O.OD Music), A$AP Rocky and many more.

We caught up with the remarkable young artist Awol Erizku during his show to talk about his best experiences while behind the camera and also attending to one of the most prestigious colleges, Yale.

The exhibition will be open from July 19th to September 6th so make sure you check it out! Watch our interview below.
