Recap: “Quality of Life” Opening Show @ Poppington Gallery
Events — By JGM Staff on October 3, 2012 at 2:35 amLast week we visited one of the biggest street art exhibits to hit NYC at Poppington Gallery, It was the “Quality Of Life” show featuring artists Katsu, Beau, Jim Joe, Womp, Sabio, Phil and Pixtote. What an incredible opening it was, packed from wall to wall and top to bottom with people and all sorts of paintings and sculptures. Curated by Beau, the show’s most talked about pieces were from Katsu who displayed a trio of famous portraits, and also Jim Joe’s work a favorite. This was the first show to come to that space, it will be up for a month and pieces are still up for grabs! We also interview the artist Beau before the gallery open, you’ll get to see the set up process and aftermath, stay tuned. Peep the photos below.
