We attended Community 54‘s special instore sales event that featured an appearance from the style mogul Taz Arnold and his clothing brand TI$A. The store front was super packed with TI$A fans anxious to get there hands on the new items, available in store were new snapback hats, sweatshirts, and plenty of accessories. Midway through the event, the Community 54 courtyard filled up with people waiting for Taz’s appearance. Finally he came through, dipped in a vintage MCM leather trench, fresh vintage shades and gold YSL pins galore. Fans and cameras rushed the man of the hour with questions, greets and autograph requests, we just so happened to sneak an interview in amongst all of the chaos. We spoke briefly about his opinion on east coast and west coast style, his music, and of course the Dr Romanelli collaboration. Enjoy!

Recently PONY has done another great collaboration with young NYC twin designers Dee & Ricky for the brand’s 40th anniversary. The Fall/Winter 2012 collection is featuring Dee & Ricky’s trademark vibrant and playful colours patterns. They also present their new sports apparel that goes well with footwear.  The apparel collection  is now on display at Bread & Butter Berlin with a release slated for late 2012. Stay tuned!

This year’s Agenda Tradeshow had yet another great turnout. It showcased new collections from over 100 different street wear brands. Many up and coming, O.G’s and newborns were all showcased under one roof. For the past two years Agenda’s tradeshow in NYC was held on the same days as the Capsule tradeshow. Now, this year it was held in a new location on the west side of lower Manhattan on a different day. The opening day was extremely packed, so we visited on the second day when everything was a bit more calm. Many popular brands such as 10 deep, Mishka, Amongst Friends, BlackScale, Huf and Diamond Supply gave us a sneak peek into their new collection for 2012. Many new emerging brands such as the hip hop star Lil Wayne’s “Trukfit” line and Moss premiered their new line at the show. We got a chance to talk with many well known brands and even Agendas president Aaron Levant that attended the 20K + guest tradeshow.

This year it seems like all of the brands are going for more of a comfortable stylish look with unique patterns, detailed design and top notch fabrics. Most brands are aiming for a wider age range and variety of people. Check out who caught our eye below and enjoy. See you next year!

The well known Denim manufacturer Wrangler recently released it’s spring/summer 2012 collection along with a snazzy new interactive website. The new look book has awesome new action photography for its new campaign, showing the selvage denim style. With this stunning new look book, it seem like the 20 year old brand has gotten it’s edge in denim back.

Here we introduce Sawa, the first ever 100% made in Africa sneaker brand. Sawa is known for its vintage attitude and products of excellent quality. All of its products are manufactured in Africa to maintain all the added value and culture. The sneakers come in many color ways such as blue, black, tan and white. This is a brand we see going to be doing great in the footwear market as well as benefiting a country in need. You can find their brand in selected retail stores such as JCrew in the US, Dover Street Market in the UK, and Comme des Garçons in Tokyo.
