If you’ve seen us tweet or post stuff up about The Internet having new music, we were talking about Syd The Kid and Matt Matt Martian of Odd Future, not the world wide web…. The Internet has just put out their debut album “Purple Naked Ladies”, an album packed with spacey beats and cool melodies. Below is a 20 minute documentary shot by Ayla Montgomery aka BRASS, she captured the making of “Purple Naked Ladies”, get to know the personalities behind the music and check the creative process.

After a sparkling 2010 MIA is ready to return to the scene with a new album, anticipated from this first track “Bad Girls”.

The sound, given the production of Danja , everything is new, even if it preserves the matrix supersperimentale acid and that has always characterized the style of the singer. The track will be available for download starting today, with a new video directed by Romain Gavras, arriving with the month of February. Regarding the album however, should be out sometime in June / July 2012. For now, listen to this below “Bad Girls”.

Premiered on the runway of Mugler‘s Fall/Winter 2012 fashion show, Harlem’s bad girl Azealia Banks gives us her explicit track “Bambi”. The fashion world seems to love her, not only did her song get premiered on the runway, she recently performed at a private event inside of Karl Lagerfeld’s house. Things are looking up for her right now, she also inked a nice deal with Universal records, this is not one of her most lyrical tracks but take a listen.

Class is now in session! Mad Decent recording artists Zebra Katz bring you the visuals for their new bass pumping single “Ima Read” featuring Njena Reddd Foxxx. Zebra Katz are signed to “The Jeffrees” imprint, an extension of Mad Decent’s music label.

The video starts off kind of creepy and weird with two twins resembling the girls from the classic horror film The Shining, then it picks up right around when Njena Reddd comes in and does her verse. Njena kills it with her nonchalant flow and facial expressions, she’s definitely the highlight of the video. All in all, great song and great video concept. Enjoy!

We recently caught up with the young innovative emcee BrandUN DeShay from Chi-Town at South Paw in Brooklyn where he performed at Barrel House Bklyn’s “Locals Only” show. His “All Day DeShay” mixtape just dropped and he is making crazy waves throughout the net and on the street. As well as being a rapper, he has produced a lot of hits for artists like Casey Veggies, Dom Kennedy, Curren$y and much more. We talked to him about his mixtape, production, his relationship with Odd Future, and his plans for 2012. Check out the video below where we go live with BrandUN DeShay.

JGM: GrandeMarshall Performs “Robert Earl” Live @ South Paw

Recently the good folks at Barrel House Brooklyn put on their 2nd edition of their “Locals Only” concert, an anticipating show that gives popular up and coming artists a chance to rock the stage in front of a large crowd. The venue was packed to capacity, to perform that night was Brandun DeShay, Denzil Porter, Rich P and Kris Kasanova. The show opened up with one of our new favorite artists, GrandeMarshall performing his buzzed about trill anthem, “Robert Earl”. Peep the video below.

Video: A$AP ROCKY – “WASSUP” (PREMIERE)

Harlem World’s own A.$.A.P Rocky finally debuted the anticipated visuals for the Clams Casino produced track, “Wassup”. Rocky pitched a vision of a video to VICE’s global editor Andy Capper, which he then took elements from his five favorite movies, namely Scarface, Belly, Enter The Dragon, The Warriors and, of course, Willy Wonka & The Chocolate Factory. The two teamed up together in effort to try an top Rocky’s last video sensation “Peso”. Look out for the A$AP Mob album dropping very soon.

The Weeknd Performs “Outside” @ Barrymore’s Ottawa Live

Canadian rising star The Weeknd, recently wrapped up a three night performance tour in Waterloo and Ottawa. By now everyone should know The Weeknds Melodic trippy sound and provocative lyrics, its to the point he doesn’t even need to sing at his own shows anymore. I haven’t seen such a crowd signing participation since Michael Jackson’s early Career. For this tour the fans got the chance to see him perform “Echoes Of Silence” live for the first time. In this video they performed one of their favorite tracks “Outside” of the last album that was released. Watch and enjoy how well he puts on this performance.
